From June 28, 1916 newspaper article in Tacoma Washington:

"Brides and Brides to Be" "Bride and Groom at Pretty Home Wedding"

      Hill-Pamment

One of the prettiest weddings of June took place last evening at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Hill on North 2d street, when her daughter, Miss Thelma Hill, was married to Ernest Pamment of this city. The ceremony was performed at 8 o'clock by the groom's father, Rev. J. M. Pamment of Mineral, in the presence of about 35 guests. The rooms were a pretty setting for this wedding in decorations of pink and white roses and greenery. A bridal bower was fashioned of ivy and ferns and white wicker gates were used at the sides.

The bride was charming in a gown of white taffeta trimmed in lace and pearls. She wore a veil of tulle and carried a shower bouquet of brides roses and sweet peas. Miss Beatrice Freeborn as maid of honor wore a dainty gown of pink and carried pink sweet peas and blue larkspur. Eugene Whitney attended the groom.

Before the ceremony, Mrs. R. Dana Kizer sang "Where Thou Wilt Go" and Miss Mildred Hill played the "Marionette March" for the entrance of the bride. Little Misses Blanche and Dorothy Pamment assisted at the door and Miss Dorothy Hill was in charge of the guest book. Miss Frances Goehring had charge of the gift room. A bridal collation was served after the ceremony. A group of Sunday School classmates in the First Methodist Church served.

Mr. and Mrs. Pamment will make a short wedding trip, keeping their destination secret. On their return they will be at the Lakeside club for the summer. Both are popular young people and several pretty affairs were given for the bride before her marriage.

Mr. Pamment has been connected with the Younglove Grocery company for six years.

NOTE: The article is accompanied by two photos - one small one of Ernest and a larger bridal photo of Thelma. The caption to the two photos reads: "Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pamment, whose marriage took place Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's mother on North 2d street. Mrs. Pamment was Miss Thelma Hill, an attractive and popular girl."
