NOTE: Family legend was passed down that an ancestor served in the Civil War and "died in a Confederate prison - Andersonville." No evidence was found of any ancestors in Andersonville - however this entry in the Ancestry.com Civil War database was thought to be William F. Cole. His age at enlistment coincides with an 1834 birth date.
