John James 'Jack' Pamment, 1972
John James "Jack" Pamment, 1972
One of my favorite photos - a rugged man with a link to the wild pioneer days of the South Island of New Zealand. Jack was one of the youngest coach drivers on the dangerous Arthur's Pass/Otira Pass in New Zealand. This photo was taken several years later in 1972 as Jack once again took the reins of the coach.

Wedding of Herbert Charles Pamment & Minnie Neighbour
Wedding of Herbert Charles Pamment & Minnie Neighbour
The wedding of Herbert Charles Pamment & Minnie Neighbour. Believed to be brother of Herbert Charles on left in photo. The family story is that that the wedding had taken place and the reception was in full force when someone mentioned that there was a photographer down the road and they should have their photo taken. The story goes that they had several drinks already in them and that accounted for the tired look of some participants. Paddington, London, England.
